L. Weddings Lohyn-Comerford Lydia Lohyn and Thomas J. Comerford Jr. were married Feb, 13 at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church in Northeast Philadelphia.

The Rev. Victor Bek officiated. The bride, daughter of Violetta and Andrej Lobyn of Bensalem, is a graduate of Bensalem High School, Bucks County Community College and La Salle University. She formerly was a teacher at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic School Pen Philadelphia.

The groom, son of Carol and Thomas Comerford of Northeast Philadelphia, graduated from Father Judge High School in Philadelphia and Pennco Technical School in Bristol, where he earned an associate degree in electrical engineering. He is a Navy veteran and is employed as an international engineering sales and support specialist with Accu-Sort Systems of Telford. Tina Pavlo was maid of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Lesia Olivarez, sister of the bride; Kelly Hooper, sister of the groom; Nicole Olivarez, niece of the bride: Cecilia McCormick and Julie Polascak. Flower girls were Melissa Ann McCabe, daughter of the groom, and Marissa Polascak.

Daniel Miller was best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Hooper, brother-in-law of the groom; Michael Lohyn, brother of the bride; Douglas Miller, Paul VonHofen and Robert Wendling. Ring bearers were Andrew Polascak, godson of the bride, and William McCormick. A reception was the Elegant Banquet Hall in Bensalem. The couple resides in Sydney, Australia.

Obituaries Carolyn LaMont, 70, housing proponent By Herb Drill INQUIRER CORRESPONDENT Carolyn Kurfees LaMont, 70, of Fairless Hills, deputy executive director of the Bucks County Housing Authority, died Tuesday at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown Township, Mrs. LaMont was born and ed in Mocksville, N.C., and attended Mitchell Junior College in States ville, N.C., before receiving her bachelor's degree in social service from St. Andrew's Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, N.C. She had lived in Fairless Hills for 13 years and, with her husband, was one of the first residents of Levittown in 1952.

Mrs. LaMont began her career in 1945 as a caseworker with the American Red Cross in Binghamton, N.Y... and continued in that capacity in Raleigh, N.C. While there, she earned a master's degree in social work from the University of North Carolina. She was employed by the Child Welfare Division of the Otsego County Department of Welfare in Cooperstown, N.Y., in 1948 and 1949 and later rejoined the Red Cross, serving in Coatesville and Trenton.

She left the Red Cross in 1955 to raise a family. In 1963, Mrs. LaMont1 was appointed director of adult welfare Bucks County and 1 initiated, organized and administered housing, food and medical programs for the elderly. Mrs. LaMont for many years was a strong advocate of housing opportunities for the poor and the elderly.

She was among the residents who, in 1965, convinced I the Bucks County commissioners of the need for public housing and to form a housing authority. In 1966, she joined that authority. In her position she was responsible for all tenant selection and tenant services. She was apointed to a Citizens Advisory Committee by the commissioners and 27 years ago was appointed deputy executive director of the housing authority, a post she held at the time of her death. For the last 30 years, Mrs.

LaMont made it a point to visit Bucks County senior citizens and, as far back as 1962, took, part in a conference on aging at the White House. Mrs. LaMont was a member of the board of the American Red Cross and the executive council of the Bucks County Association for Retired and Senior Citizens. She was a former member the Levittown Federated Women's Club, Levittown Public Recreation Association, Bucks County Community Services Council, United Fund and Bucks County Opportunities Council. Mrs.

LaMont is survived by her husband of 46 years, Durwood LaMont; a daughter, Kathleen; a son, John; three grandchildren; a brother, and a sister. A funeral service was to have been held yesterday at Trinity United Church of Christ in Holland, with burial in Newtown Cemetery in Newtown Township. Schooley, 69, WCAU stage manager Jess L. Schooley, 69, a retired stage manager at WCAU-TV (Channel 10), died Aug. 21 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown Township. Mr. Schooley was born in Moosic, graduated from Moosic High School and had lived in Philadelphia for several years.

A Marine Corps veteran of World War II, he was among the first residents of Levittown and had resided there for 39 years. He had a long and award-winning career as a stage manager at WCAUTV, beginning in 1950 as a "roustabout" for the Big Top circus program aired on the CBS network. "He soon participated in virtually every type of network and local broadcast to originate from the Philadelphia television station up until his retirement in 1988," said a son, Robert Jess Schooley. "The shows included the Eagles games and the Mummers parades when they were on Channel 10." The late Frank L. Rizzo, when he was mayor of Philadelphia, gave Mr.

Schooley an award for his work in covering the Bicentennial celebration events in 1976, his son said, and "TV personality Bill Boggs, film director Richard Lester and TV sports producer Tony Verna are among many distinguished WCAU alumni who launched their careers cuing performers and constructing sets under his supervision." After he retired, Mr. Schooley was a volunteer driver for the Meals on Wheels program and was active with the Bristol Township Senior Citizens; his wife serves as president of that group. Schooley Carolyn Kurfees LaMont times hit the links with WCAU-TV news personality Gene Crane. "He was one of the early pioneers in this business," Crane said. "He was here in the late '40s and early '50s when WCAU was doing network feeds for CBS with programs like Big Top and Action in the Afternoon. As for golfing, he was a very pleasant man to be with." Mr. Schooley was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Levittown.

In addition to his son Robert Jess, he is survived by his wife of 42 years, Shirley B. Schooley; another son, Donald and three grandchildren. A memorial service was held Wednesday at Beck-O'Neill-Strouse Funeral Directors in Levittown. Geraldine Ott, 71, Croydon homemaker Geraldine M. Renz Ott, 71, of Croydon, a homemaker, died Monday at Saint Mary Hospital in Langhorne. Mrs. Ott was born and educated in Philadelphia and had been a resident of Croydon for 46 years. She enjoyed reading books, especially detective stories.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Herbert F. Ott four daughters, Geraldine Esposito, Suzanne Bond, Dorothy Battershell and Mary; two sons, Herbert F. Jr. and Michael 14 grandchildren; eight great -grandchildren; six sisters, and a brother. A funeral service was held Thursday at the Fluehr Funeral Home in Bensalem.
